Estaba allí para participar esta noche en la gala de entrega de los Premios Grammy. La cantante fue declarada muerta a las 3:55 pm hora local a pesar de los esfuerzos de reanimación. La policía dijo que "no hay signos evidentes de intención criminal" y que la causa de su muerte está siendo investigada.
