EL REGRESO DE AMY McDONALD's comeback

Amy McDonald regresa con su tercer álbum en junio "LIFE IN A BEAUTIFUL LIGHT" ("La vida en una luz maravillosa"), producido por Pete Wilkinson y mezclado por Bob Clearmountain. Es disco viene después de "A CURIOUS THING" ("Una cosa curiosa") del 2010. Ha vendido más de 4 millones de discos. Os presentamos el video de su nuevo single "SLOW IT DOWN" ("Desacelera"), grabado en España.

Amy McDonald's back with her third album in June "LIFE IN A BEAUTIFUL LIGHT", produced by Pete Wilkinson and mixed by Bob Clearmountain. This record comes after her 2010 album "A CURIOUS THING". She has sold over 4 million records. We're presenting the video of her new single "SLOW IT DOWN", filmed in Spain.

FRIDA @ ZERMATT UNPLUGGED FESTIVAL 2012 + CHRIS DE BURGH

Se ha celebrado hasta ayer, el Zermatt Unplugged Festival 2012 en la localidad suiza del mismo nombre. Frida un año más actúa como una de las organizadoras-productoras del evento. Este año entre los cantantes invitados Chris de Burgh, conocido en España por su "LADY IN RED" ("Mujer de rojo"), Amy McDonald, Lauren Hill (ex-Fugees) Parece que él hizo una versión de "S.O.S" de Abba en este festival. Incluimos fotos y videos.

The Zermatt Unplugged Festival 2012 has been held until yesterday in the Swiss town of the same name. Frida, once again, has participated as one of the organizers-producers of the event. This year one of the guest artists was Chris de Burgh, famous by his "LADY IN RED", Amy McDonald, Lauren Hill (ex-Fugees). It's said that he covered Abba's "S.O.S." in this festival. ORCHESTRAL AMY [¡Feliz 2011!/ Happy 2011!]

Para empezar el año nuevo 2011, nos vamos de concierto de orquesta filarmónica, no del concierto de año nuevo de Viena, sino con Amy McDonald. Amy ha querido celebrar las miles de copias vendidas en toda Europa con una edición especial de "A CURIOUS THING" ("Una cosa curiosa") en la que incluye doce versiones de sus canciones grabadas con su banda y orquesta de la radio alemana. Amy junta canciones de sus dos álbums y los recarga con cuerdas mayestáticas y arreglos oníricos, dando una nueva lectura a "THIS IS THE LIFE", "DON'T TELL ME THAT IT'S OVER"... No es que la aceptación de su segunda obra en el Reino Unido fuera la bomba pero pasados muchos meses de se edición, se sigue vendiendo muy bien en Europa. Sólamente en Alemania ha alcanzado las 300,000 copias. Lleva ya cinco singles extraídos. No sabemos si se editará en España.

To kick off the new year 2011, we're going to a philarmonic orchestra conert, but not Vienna's new year's one, but with Amy McDonald. Amy has wanted to celebrate the thousands of copies sold in Europe with a special edition of "A CURIOUS THING" where she includes twelve cover versions of her songs recorded with her band and the German radio orchestra. Amy collects songs from her two albums and reloads them with majestic strings and wonderful arrangements, giving a new vision of "THIS IS THE LIFE", "DON'T TELL ME THAT IT'S OVER"... Her second album hasn't been so big in the UK, but having passed many months since it's release, it's still selling well. Only in Germany it has reached 300.000 copies sold. Five singles have already been taken from it.

AMY McDONALD REGRESA CON NUEVO DISCO Y CONCIERTO / Amy McDonald is back with new album & concert

La chica que consiguió que todo el mundo tararease "THIS IS THE LIFE" ("Esta es la vida") regresa el próximo 1 de marzo con "DON'T TELL ME THAT IT'S OVER" ("No me digas que se acabó"), el primer single de su segundo trabajo que saldrá a la venta una semana después. Este nuevo proyecto ha sido grabado en estudios Black Barn, propiedad de Paul Weller, quien también pone voz en una de las nuevas canciones.
Con este disco, Amy se enfrenta al reto de por lo menos mantener el éxito logrado con su debut en 2007, del que vendió más tres millones de copias vendidas sólo en Reino Unido. La propia artista tiene claro el desafío que supone este nuevo álbum y ha publicado en su web oficial :"Al comienzo de todo esto no os habría creído si me hubierais dicho el éxito que iba a tener. Los últimos dos años han sido una mezcla de trabajo duro y pasarlo bien, y estoy muy agradecida por todo el apoyo que he tenido, especialmente en mi tierra, en Escocia. Estoy realmente entusiasmada de estar de vuelta con el nuevo álbum listo y con conciertos por hacer".
Y hablando de conciertos, la escocesa estará en tierras españolas para un único conciertos que ofrecerá el 8 de febrero en la sala Joy Eslava de Madrid, en el que presentará en exclusiva las canciones de este segundo y esperado disco.

The girl that made everybody sing along to "THIS IS THE LIFE" is back on March, 1st with "DON'T TELL ME THAT IT'S OVER", the first single from her second album that will be released a week later. This new project has been recorded at Paul Weller's Black Barn studios, who also gives voice to one of her songs.

With this record Amy has the challenge of keeping up with her successful 2007 debut, selling more than 3 million copies in the United Kingdom only. The singer realizes the challenge of this new album & explains in her website: "When all this started, I wouldn't have believed you if you had told me the success I would have, The last two years have been a mixture of hard work and having a real good time. I'm thankful for the support I've had, specially in my homeland Scotland. I'm really excited of being back with the new album ready and concerts to be given."

And talking about concerts, the Scottish girl will be around Spain for an only concert on February, 8th at Joy Eslava in Madrid, where she'll present exclusively the songs from her second awaited record.

AMY McDONALD ACTUARÁ EN ESPAÑA ESTE VERANO / Amy McDonald will play live in Spain this summer

Según Los40.com, Amy McDonald actuará este verano en el festival Sonorama 2009, que se celebra en Aranda de Duero (Burgos). La cantante escocesa con un sólo disco "This is the life" ("Esta es la vida"), con el que ha conquistado medio mundo al vender 2,5 millones de copias, cantará en este festival que se celebrará entre el 13 y el 15 de agosto.

According to Los40.com, Amy McDonald will play this summer in the Sonorama 2009 festival in Aranda de Duero (Burgos). The Scottish singer, with one only album "This is the life", has conquered the pop-scene selling 2,5 million copies worldwide and will sing in this festival which will be held between 13th and 15th August.
