Hace 25 años, en enero de 1986, Pet Shop Boys se convirtieron en nº1 con su hit "WEST END GIRLS" ("Chicas del West End"), y comenzaron así una trayectoria de éxito que llega hasta hoy. Han sido también influencia en gran cantidad de bandas desde entonces. Así, Andy Connell, miembro de otro grupo de los 80: Swing Out Sister (¿Los recordáis? Por si no os incluimos el video de un hit de ellos "BREAKOUT") les rinde homenaje con una versión chill-out instrumental del tema, y aquí os dejamos ambos.

25 years ago, in January 1986, Pet Shop Boys became nº1 with their hit "WEST END GIRLS", and kicked off a career full of hits and success that reaches up to today. They have also been a great influence on many other bands since then. That's why Andy Connell, former member of another 80s band: Swing Out Sister (Do you remember them? If you don't we include a video of one of their hits "BREAKOUT") pays tribute to them with a smooth laid back instrumental cover version of their song, and here are both of them.

Pet Shop Boys conmemoran su 25º aniversario este año, y para celebrarlo editan un nuevo recopilatorio "ULTIMATE" ("Lo último"). Pet Shop Boys comemorate their 25th anniversary this year and to celebrate it, they release a new compilation album "ULTIMATE". The British duo Pet Shop Boys celebrate their anniversary, it's 25 years since they started and to celebrate it apart from releasing a new album "Yes", they are on tour. And these days they're stopping in Spain, yesterday in Barcelona, tonight in Madrid. We've followed them more at their beginnings that now, but they are worth remembering and listening to the song with which it all started: "West End Girls".
