Mientras tanto Sharleen sigue con apariciones televisvas, después de actuar como jurado en un concurso de talentoS de la cadena Sky1 "MUST BE THE MUSIC" ("Debe de ser la música") junto con Jamie Cullum, ha aparecido en el show de Rob Brydon, en donde además de cantar en serio, ha hecho con el presentador una versión graciosa del "SUMMER NIGHTS" ("Noches de verano") de Grease. Meanwhile Sharleen continues with her TV appearances, after playing jury-part on Sky channel's talent show "MUST BE THE MUSIC" together with Jamie Cullum, she has appeared on Rob Brydon's show, where apart from performing seriously, she's done with host a hilarious rendition of Grease's classic "SUMMER NIGHTS". SHARLEEN SPITERI: NOVEDADES Y CONCIERTOS / News & concerts

Muchas novedades entorno a Sharleen Spiteri. Actuará como jurado en un nuevo programa musical de nuevos talentos en Sky 1 llamado "Must be the music" ("Debe ser la música") junto con Jamie Cullum y otros. Asistirán a castings en Londres, Manchester y Edinburgo entre junio y julio para buscar el mejor artista del Reino Unido, de cualquier edad, canción y estilo.

Sharleen será telonera de Paul McCartney es su primer concierto escocés en 20 años que se celebrará en Hampden Park, Glasgow, el domingo día 20 de junio. Ser su telonera es también un sueño hecho realidad para Sharleen, quien ha revelado que aprendió el oficio cantando los éxitos de los Beatles de niña. La artista de 42 años comentó: "Mis padres siempre ponían sus canciones en casa. Realmente aprendí a hacer armonías cantando sus éxitos". Sharleen es una buena amiga de las hijas de Paul, Mary y Stella y también acudirá a la fiesta del 68 cumpleaños de Paul que será sólo 48 horas antes del concierto en Londres.

Finalmente, Sharleen ha dado tres conciertos en Escocia promocionando su "MOVIE SONGBOOK", en el Aberdeen Music Hall el 28 de mayo, en el Perth Festival el 29 y en el Royal Concert Hall de Glasgow el 31. Incluimos videos que hemos encontrado de estos conciertos.

Many news on Sharleen Spiteri. She will be judging on Sky 1's new music talent show "Must be the music" together with Jamie Cullum and others. The judges and host will be attending auditions in London, Manchester and Edinburgh over June and July in the search for the UK’s best music act – any age, any song, any style.

Sharleen will support Paul McCartney on his first Scottish concert in 20 years which will take place at Hampden Park, Glasgow, on Sunday June 20. Backing Macca is also a dream come true for Sharleen, who has revealed she learned her craft by singing Beatles' hits as a child. The 42-year-old said: "My mum and dad always played his records at home. I actually learned how to do harmonies by singing along to their hits. Sharleen is a close pal of Macca's daughters Mary and Stella and she will attend the superstar's 68th birthday party in London just 48 hours before the gig.

Finally, Sharleen performed three gigs in Scotland to support the "MOVIE SONGBOOK". At the Aberdeen Music Hall on May 28, at the Perth Festival on May 29 and at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow on May 31. Following we include some videos of the gigs that we've found.

This afternoon, TVE-1 broadcasts the first Bridget Jones film, this is the opportunity to remember Jamie Cullum's version of a 1967 hit "EVERLASTING LOVE" which he performed for the soundtrack of one of the films in the Bridget Jones series. El pianista y cantante pop-jazz británico Jamie Cullum está en España promocionando su nuevo album "THE PURSUIT" ("La persecución"). Con este motivo recordamos la versión que hizo del tema de ABBA "MY LOVE, MY LIFE" ("Mi amor, mi vida") en el concierto homenaje al grupo sueco el pasado mes de septiembre en Londres. Y volveremos a verle por aquí ya que ha colaborado en bandas sonoras.

British pianist & pop-jazz singer Jamie Cullum is in Spain promoting his new album "THE PURSUIT". So we remember the version of ABBA's MY LOVE, MY LIFE" he performed in the Swedish band's tribute concert held in London last September. We'll see him round here again as he's worked on some film soundtracks.

More photos of Sunday's concert & new releases in the Abba fields: a new DVD "ABBA IN JAPAN", to be released on October 26th, collecting the group's gigs in Japan in '78 & '80, specially covering a TV special from November 1978. "ABBA IN JAPAN" info:

This legendary television special is now released on DVD for the first time. Moreover, it has been reassembled from the unedited material, which means that you will get more ABBA for your money! ‘Fernando’, which featured a couple of verses and a chorus in the original broadcast, is now seen in complete form for the first time. And the performance of ‘Summer Night City’, originally presented in a split-screen format with ABBA only taking up a quarter of the screen, is now focused entirely on ABBA. Finally, ‘The Name Of The Game’, which was edited out of the original broadcast, has been reinserted in its rightful place.
Every song in the television special has been synchronised with the latest stereo remasters, except for the three live numbers: ‘Money, Money, Money’, ‘SOS’ and ‘Thank You For The Music’.
The DVD comes with two bonus selections. The first is the fascinating fly-on-the-wall documentary ABBA In Japan Nov. 1978, which covers the group’s visit at the time of the television special. The disc also features the performance of ‘If It Wasn’t For The Nights’ from the special, but with the original, slightly different sound mix as featured in the broadcast – at the time, the song hadn’t been released on record yet and it was subject to further mixes by ABBA before finally being issued on the Voulez-Vous album.
ABBA In Japan is also released in a 2-disc Limited Special Edition. The contents of the first disc are identical to the single-disc version. The second disc in the Limited Special Edition features a very rare behind-the-scenes documentary from ABBA’s concert tour of Japan in March 1980. The disc also features two galleries: one containing photos from the visit in 1978, and one offering a generous selection of Japanese single and album sleeves. Further goodies come in the shape of three ABBA photo cards and the original tour sticker from ABBA’s concert tour of Japan.
Both versions of ABBA In Japan feature a fully illustrated booklet with an essay by Carl Magnus Palm detailing ABBA’s adventures in Japan and the making of the television special.
The international release date for ABBA In Japan is October 26, 2009, although the date may of course vary a little from territory to territory

Se anuncian nuevos participantes en el concierto homenaje a Abba en el Hyde Park de Londres el 13/09/09. A lo que informamos en la entrada del 13/08/09, se suman Kylie Minogue y Jamie Cullum. Kylie cantará "SUPER TROUPER" y "WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE" ("Cuando todo está dicho y hecho"). Kylie ha declarado: "La oportunidad de interpretar canciones clásicas de Abba sobre un escenario con los miembros de Abba es un sueño hecho realidad. Su música ha representado tanto en mi vida desde muy niña y estoy encantada de poder compartirlo con ellos personalmente." Jamie cantará "MY LOVE, MY LIFE" ("Mi amor, mi vida"). Sin noticias que confirmen a Annie Lennox aún.

New participants on the Abba Tribute Concert at Hyde Park, London, on 13/09/09, have been announced. To what we reported on the post of 13/08/09, Kylie Minogue & Jamie Cullum have been added. Kylie will sing "SUPER TROUPER" & "WHEN ALL IS SAID AND DONE". Kylie has said: "The opportunity to perform classic Abba song on stage with Abba members is a dream come true. Their music has played a great part in my life from a very early age and I'm thrilled I'll be able to share that with them personally". Jamie will sing "MY LOVE, MY LIFE". No news confirming Annie Lennox yet.
