[BSO] "EL PADRINO/THE GODFATHER" ("SPEAK SOFTLY LOVE"), ANDY WILLIAMS & SHARLEEN SPITERI+MARIO GIOIA

La idea para el nuevo disco de Sharleen Spiteri no fue nada premeditado. Fue un proceso que desembocó en el album. En octubre 2008, Sharleen versionó "IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU" ("Si no puedo tenerte"), tema de la película "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER" que ya incluimos en este blog en una entrada el pasado 8 de febrero durante el Concierto de los Electric Proms. Luego vino la colaboración con el cantante italiano Mario Gioia versionando "SPEAK SOFTLY LOVE" ("Habla de amor suavemente"), tema central de "THE GODFATHER" ("El Padrino") que hoy incluimos aquí. La versión original del tema era de Any Williams.

The idea for Sharleen Spiteri's new record was a planned thing. It was part of a process that ended up in the album. In October 2008, Sharleen covered "IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU", which we've already enclosed on this blog in a previous post on February, 8th during the Electric Proms Concert. Later came her collaboration with Italian singer Mario Gioia covering "SPEAK SOFTLY LOVE", main theme of "THE GODFATHER", which we include here today. The original version was by Andy Williams.
