Repasamos hoy los éxitos de Jeanette, una cantante de padre belga, madre española, nacida en Inglaterra, que comenzó a cantar en el grupo Pic-Nic con los que tuvo su primer éxito "CÁLLATE, NIÑA" en el '69. En los '70 comenzó su carrera en solitario y su primer éxito fue "SOY REBELDE". Su gran bombazo sería en el '76 con un tema de José Luís Perales "¿POR QUÉ TE VAS?" que fue tema central de la película de Carlos Saura "CRÍA CUERVOS". En 1981 grabó un disco compuesto íntegramente por Manuel Alejandro de donde surgieron éxitos como "CORAZÓN DE POETA" y "FRENTE A FRENTE" que tuvo versión en inglés. Todos los ofrecemos hoy aquí.

Today we check on Jeanette's hits, a singer with a Belgian father, a Spanish mother and born in England. She started to sing in a band called Pic-Nic with whom she had her first hit "CÁLLATE, NIÑA" ("Hush, little girl") in '69. In the '70s she started her solo-career and her first hit was "SOY REBELDE" ("I'm a rebel"). Her biggest hit was in '76 with a song by José Luís Perales "¿POR QUÉ TE VAS?" ("Why are you leaving?") which became the main theme of Carlos Saura's film "CRÍA CUERVOS" ("Raise ravens"). In 1981 she recorded an album with all the songs composed by Manuel Alejandro with hits such as "CORAZÓN DE POETA" ("A poet's heart") & "FRENTE A FRENTE" ("Face to face") which had an English version.
