Muchos años después, Frida ha vuelto al número 1 de las listas de éxitos de discos de vinilo en Suecia esta semana con la reedición de su álbum en solitario pre-Abba. Estos discos en solitario de los voces femeninas de Abba se han reeditado en Suecia estos días, como veis en la foto Agnetha es nº2. ¡Enhorabuena a ambas! Lo bueno siempre es bueno.

Many years later, Frida is nº1 again on the Swedish vinyl charts this week with the rerelease of her pre-Abba solo album. The solo-albums of the two women's voices in Abba have been rereleased in Sweden lately, and as you can see in the photo Agnetha is nº2. Congratulations to both! What's good is always good.

Luz regresa, solo para Francia, con un disco homenaje a la diva italofrancesa Dalida. No es la primera vez que la versiona, ya versionó "18 AÑOS" en su álbum "VIDA TÓXICA" y "UN AÑO DE AMOR", canción de Nino Ferrer, que también cantó Dalida como "C'EST IRREPARABLE". Ahora revisita once temas que la han emocionado dándoles una nueva dimensión emocional. El primer single es "FINI LA COMEDIE", que puedes escuchar aquí. El álbum sale el 9 de junio y ya está de gira con el por Francia y otros países. Este no será el único disco, a finales de año habrá nuevo disco de temas propios.

Luz is back, only for France, with a tribute album to Italian-French diva Dalida. It's not the first time she covers her, she already covered "18 AÑOS" in her album "VIDA TÓXICA" and "UN AÑO DE AMOR", composed by Nino Ferrer, which Dalida also sung as "C'EST IRREPARABLE". Now she revisits eleven songs that have moved her giving them a new emotional dimension. The first single is "FINI LA COMEDIE", which you can listen to here. The album is out on June 9th and she's already on tour with it through France and other countries. But this won't be the only record, for the end of this year there'll be another album with her own songs.

Parece que la canción de Benny y Björn está teniendo muchas nuevas vidas... Hace unos días, os comentábamos la versión que habían hecho Brian May (ex-Queen) y la vocalista Kerry Ellis (AQUÍ), hoy es el grupo pop británico Steps, quien editó un álbum "TEARS ON THE DANCEFLOOR", que incluye todavía una nueva versión más de "STORY OF A HEART". No es la primera vez que Steps versiona música de B&B.

It seems that Benny & Björn's song is collecting many new lives... A few days ago, we commented on the cover version that former Queen Brian May and vocalist Kerry Ellis hand done (HERE), today it's British pop group Steps, who has released an album "TEARS ON THE DANCEFLOOR", which includes  yet another cover of "STORY OF A HEART". It's not the first time that Steps covere B&B's music.

Hurts, el dúo de pop synthpop de Manchester formado por Theo Hutchcraft y Adam Anderson están de vuelta con un nuevo single "BEAUTIFUL ONES" anticipo de lo que será su cuarto álbum. El single viene acompañado de un video protagonizado por el mismo Theo, que cuenta la historia de una paliza transfóbica pero al revés del presente hacia atrás. Va del odio al amor, de la brutalidad a la belleza y es un puro contraste con la canción: una producción y melodía vibrantes frente a la tristeza del videoclip. Aquí esta.

Hurts, the synthpop duo from Manchester made up by Theo Hutchcraft & Adam Anderson are back with a new single "BEAUTIFUL ONES" in advance of what will be their fourth album. The single comes with a video starring Theo himself, telling the story of an assaulted transvestite but in reverse flashback. It deals with hate and love, with brutality and beauty and it's pure contrast with the song: a vibrant production and melody against the video's sadness. Here it is.

Queen's exguitarist, Brian May has published last April 7th together with vocalist Kerry Ellis, an album of covers with the name "GOLDEN DAYS". Among its songs is the cover of Benny and Björn's "STORY OF A HEART", which you can listen to here.

Björn Ulvaeus ha escrito un artículo para el periódico "Expressen" tras el atentado en Estocolmo del pasado viernes. Aquí fragmentos traducidos del mismo:

"Para la mayoría de nosotros es imposible imaginar los pensamientos que entran en el cerebro de un terrorista. ¿Qué es lo que lleva a su decisión final y fatal? Él piensa que la vida es intolerable en una sociedad moderna y secular, liberal, democrática. ¿Es la ficción de su sociedad ideal tan fuerte que en realidad le resulta insoportable para vivir aquí? En ese caso no puedo entenderlo de ninguna manera. Creo que preferiría morir que vivir en un califato musulmán. Sin matar conmigo seres humanos inocentes.

Björn Ulvaeus has written an article for the newspaper "Expressen" in the aftermath of Stockholm's terror attack last Friday. Here are translated extracts from it:
"For most of us it's impossible to imagine the thoughts in the mind of a terrorist. What takes him to his final letal decision? He thinks life is intolerable in a modern, secular, liberal and democratic society. Is the fiction of his ideal society so strong that it really is unbearable to live here? In that case I can't understand him any way. I think I'd prefer to die than live in a Muslim caliphate. Without killing any innocent human beings with me.
The terrorist is invaded by a parasite whose poison causes a distorted view.
Stockholmers have shown and disclosed themelves against intolerance and fanatism that seeks justification in divine revelation, these last few days.
There's a history written for and by the people: the UNO Declaration of Human Rights. People have found the way to live in peace with one another. Free thought, smart, wise men and women. Our best defense against the dark forces represented by Drottninggatan's terrorist is bring up our children in free thinking, smart, wise men and women".

Hoy en la Sala Riviera de Madrid se celebrará un concierto homenaje a Manolo Tena, donde actuarán, entre otros, Miguel Ríos, Los Secretos, Ana y Víctor y algunos de sus compañeros de ·"A Mi Manera": Sole Giménez, Antonio Carmona, Nacho García Vega y David de María.

A tribute concert for Manolo Tena will be held today at Sala Riviera in Madrid. Among many others will perform Miguel Rios, Los Secretos, Ana & Víctor and some of his mates from "A Mi Manera": Sole Giménez, Antonio  Carmona, Nacho García Vega & David de María.

AGNETHA & BJÖRN: ABUELOS DE NUEVO / Grandparents again

El pasado 22 de marzo el periódico "Expressen" informó de que Agnetha y Björn se convirtieron en abuelos una vez más. Su hijo menor, Christian, fue padre de una niña, Nike. El diario comenta de la buena relación que tiene la ex-pareja. 

"Hablamos muy a menudo en realidad, Benny y yo trabajo juntos, siempre que Frida visita  Estocolmo nos visitamos y Agnetha y yo tenemos nietos juntos, por lo tanto nos vemos amenudo. Tenemos una muy buena relación, formamos lazos muy estrechos y fuertes en todos estos años y tantas cosas que hemos vivido juntos. Es una amistad formidable".

Last March, 22nd, "Expressen" newspaper reported that Agnetha and Björn had become grandparents once again. Their youngest son, Christian, had been father of a baby girl, Nike. The paper comments on the good relationship between the former couple.

"We talk very often actually, Benny and I work together, whenever Frida visits Stockholm we visit each other and Agnetha and I share grandchildren together, so we see each other very often. We have a good relationship, we made up very tight bonds through all these years and so many things we've lived together. It's a great friendship.
