Sharleen sin/without Texas
Otra cantante que se independiza es Sharleen Spiteri, cantante-líder del grupo escocés Texas. El grupo parece que no se ha deshecho definitivamente, sino que es un paréntesis... (?) Lo cierto es que Sharleen ya tiene preparado su disco en solitario bajo el título de "Melody" ("Melodía") y el primer single "All the times I cried" ("Todas las veces que lloré"). Es un estilo años 50, tipo Nancy Sinatra y Françoise Hardy... es un sonido completamente nuevo con una gran banda, cuerdas y metal, que ha grabado en varios estudios (Satelite, Park Lane) y en su casa de Glasgow. Compuesto y producido por ella misma, con la ayuda de gente como John McElhone, compañero de Texas y Bernard Butler. El single se publicará el 23 de junio y el álbum el 7 de julio. Más canciones serán: "Try" ("Intenta"), "I wonder" ("Me pregunto"), "Keep me waiting" ("Hazme seguir esperando") y "Where did I go wrong?" ("¿Dónde me equivoqué?).
Another singer who goes solo is Sharleen Spiteri, lead singer of Scottish band Texas. The group doesn't seem to have broken up definitely, it's only a momentary stand-by... (?) The truth is that Sharleen has already finished her first solo album called "Melody" and her first single "All the times I cried".
